March 31, 2010: Thanks to Scotty for his assistance. Thanks, as always, to Peggy.

On behalf of everyone at On Guard Security, I would like to wish Brandon B. a (late) Happy Birthday.

The forecast for Nashville for the rest of the week is outstanding. Everyone can appreciate warm pleasant weather. The weather is infinitely more important to all security guards that work outdoor posts.

A security guard at a J.C. Penney in Virginia gave everyone quite a scare on Sunday. The guard chased a shoplifter to the parking lot and fired a single shot into the air to stop the shoplifter. Police arrested the shoplifter, but also confiscated the security officer's firearm. The guard worked directly for J.C. Penney. The mall security guards had nothing to do with the incident.

Early Friday morning the dismembered body of the police chief in a Mexican city was found by authorities. Another body was also found that is considered to be related to the chief's murder. A drug cartel is thought to be responsible for the murders.

Terrorists have bombed a subway in Russia. This story is still developing, but reports are already indicating that many people have been killed in the bombing.
