A local mall in Antioch says its goal is to promote diversity, yet one tenant says that’s not true. The tenant is claiming the security guard company that was hired to protect the mall and its occupants has been racially profiling him and other tenants. The private security guards for the mall had just installed new surveillance cameras outside of his store and per the tenant accused him of stealing. The security guard company says that’s not true. The security firm allegedly had their security guards install those cameras after several complaints about noise, fighting, and thefts that have been occurring. The tenants store is one of the only stores on its wing; the private security guard company had installed 26 security cameras around the mall and just recently added the one by his store. The tenant says it was only added after he had an argument with management. The head of the security company is saying that the camera was installed just to monitor an exit door that is next to the tenant’s shop, so they can gather more evidence after catching another person on surveillance walking out the door with trash cans and cleaning supplies. Also to determine who has been making all the noise and trying to stop the fights. The security guard company is refusing to release the surveillance footage and the incident reports to a Nashville news station that has requested them.
