September 30, 2011:  It is hard to believe that this is the last day of September 2011!  This year is going by incredibly fast.  September has been a great month for On Guard Security.  Thanks to all our security guards and other security personnel.

The Michigan Theater hired a contract security guard company to place a security guard on post at "grafiti alley".

Investigators in Nashville have determined that two fires in the Antioch area earlier this week were the result of arson.

Police in California arrested two men earlier this week after they tried to stab a 17-year-old.  A security guard intervened in the incident.  No one was hurt according to police.

Earlier this week in Tennessee a State Trooper was shot while on duty.  The incident happened on Interstate I-40 between Nashville and Jackson.  The Trooper was shot by the passenger during a traffic stop.  The Trooper returned fire after being shot and killed the passenger.  The Trooper's bullet-proof vest probably saved his life.

It is a beautiful morning in Nashville, and the rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice.

A shooting in east Nashville last night resulted in the death for the victim.  The incident took place near Gallatin Rd. and E. Trinity Ln.

September 29, 2011:  It is a beautiful day in Nashville, Tennessee.

A man in Florida is being charged with murder after the death of a security guard in May.  The man struggled with the security guard while the security guard attempted to stop the man from stealing.  The guard died, and it was determined that his death was a result of the struggle with the shoplifter.

Police in Nashville located ten marijuana plants growing near Madison.  The plants were located by helicopter.  No other information is currently available.

Police in Nashville arrested an ex-convict today for the recent burglaries of houses in West Meade.

Yesterday a man in Baltimore was convicted of killing a security guard during an armed robbery.  The man got away with $13.

Police have arrested six people today in Nashville for drug crimes after an investigation that was prompted by neighborhood complaints.

Earlier this week a homeless man died after being brutally beaten in Nashville.  A homicide investigation has started.

A man in Nashville was arrested today after he called a detective in the Nashville police department.  The man called the detective at around 9 AM.  He was caught around 3 PM.

Yesterday in Scott County, Kentucky police officers found several pounds of marijuana and nearly ten thousand dollars after the man that owned the house gave the police permission to search.  A few prescription pills were also found.

Metro Nashville police raided a gas station on Gallatin Rd. today.  Warrants were issued for the arrest of two men in connection with the raid.

A security guard in Wisconsin was arrested earlier in the week for burglary.  The security guard was allegedly allowing people access to buildings were they could steal electronics.  In addition to burglary the guard was charged with possession of marijuana.

September 26, 2011:  On Guard Security begins an operation today that is very unique among our security guard services.

Yesterday a member of the Blood's gang in  Nahville was sentenced to eight years in federal prison for racketeering.

September 25, 2011:  A security guard at a nightclub in Georgia shot a man early Sunday morning.  The man that was shot allegedly fired a shot at the security guard first.  The security guard was not injured. 

It has turned out to be a very nice day in Nashville.

Earlier today Metro police officers were in a standoff with a man in east Nashville.  The man went on the standoff after he assualted his ex-Nashville.

September 23, 2011:  Security guards at Harvard have reached a tentative agreement with Securitas, the security guard company that provides the guards.  The security guards had threatened to strike if they weren't able to keep their health care plan.

Last night a Nashville police officer was arrested.  The policeman was arrested for assualting his girlfriend late last week.  The officer has been decommissioned and is currently out on bond.

State and federal authorities are looking for a man that allegedly kidnapped and raped an 18-year-old woman from a gas station in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee Wednesday afternoon.  The man forced the woman into his car with a gun, drove to a motel in Mississippi, and forced the young woman to have sex with him.  At some point the woman got control of the handgun and shot the man once in the abdomen.  

September 22, 2011:  Yesterday in California a jury awarded nearly $2 million to the family of a man that was shot and killed by a security guard.  The jury found both the security guard and the security guard company to be negligent.

It's a foggy morning in Nashville.

Nashville police are looking for a man that shot his girlfriend last night.  The woman is in critical but stable condition.  The man is still at large.

Metro police shut down Luau Louie's Hula Hut today.  The popular nightclub was responsible for an inordinate number of calls to the police.  Police calls ranged from underaged drinking to robbery.

September 21, 2011:  Nineteen people were arrested today in Nashville after a long-term gang investigation.  The three year investigation focused on the 98 Mafia Crip gang in north Nashville.  Many of the people that were arrested are facing federal and state charges.

Earlier this week an escort and two of her friends robbed in Clarksville, Tennessee.  The man responded to the escorts ad on  When the escort arrived she overpowered the man with two of her friends and pepper spray.  One of the women have been arrested.

A security guard in Georgia turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.  The security guard is charged with assualt after an alleged confrontation with a woman at his post.

Over two hundred security guards at Harvard are threatening to strike if certain issues are not corrected.  The security guards work for Securitas.

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Nashville.

Three men were arrested by Nashville police yesterday.  The three men were growing marijuana in the backyard of their Madison duplex.

September 19, 2011:  Today is supposed to be a nasty, rainy day here in Nashville.

Police in Nashville arrested two people that were manufacturing methamphetamine in their apartment.  The two alleged people were caught after their meth lab exploded and injured both of them.

Federal prosecutors in Nashville are expected to announce a major gang prosecution today.  The target of these arrests and indictments are members of the Vice Lord gang.  The Vice Lord gang is said to be a "significant criminal matter" in middle Tennessee.

The security guard that lost his gun last week has still not found his gun.  As if that weren't bad enough the security guard's posts were at schools.

September 18, 2011:  The University of Tennessee lost to Florida yesterday 23-33.

A police officer in Hamblem County, Tennessee shot and killed an alleged rapist.  The alleged rapist was shot when the officer fired at the car that the alleged rapist was driving.  The rapist hit the deputy with his truck.

September 17, 2011:  A security guard that patrols fourteen schools in Oregon lost his gun Thursday night.  The security guard promptly notified school officials about his lost firearm, and a search of the schools followed.  The gun has still not been recovered, but officials believe that the gun is not at any school.
A man in Shelby county jail has been charged with murder for a shooting that happened in 2008.  The man is being charged because he told other inmates in Shelby county jail about the crime.
It is a beautiful day once again in Nashville. 

September 16, 2011:  Yesterday a security guard in Pennsylvania was found guilty of obstruction of justice by a jury.  The security guard was charged with obstruction of justice for hindering a murder investigation that took place at an apartment complex where the security guard was working.

In Memphis, Tennessee a man was sentenced to four years in prison for breaking into a building and  to steal rolls of toilet paper.

September 15, 2011:  A security guard in New Mexico was fired yesterday for taking naughty pictures of women with a security camera.  The security guard was employed at a courthouse.  The fnormer security guard was apparently not even licensed.  Now the former security officer could face criminal charges.

It is much cooler today in Nashville and the middle Tennessee area.

Undercover agents in Nashville's West Precinct executed a search warrant yesterday that resulted in a variety of drugs and firearms being seized.  Two people were also arrested at the residence.

September 14, 2011:  Nashville police and the FBI are working to identify a man that robbed a bank in east Nashville yesterday afternoon.

Nashville police arrested two women yesterday in a motel on Spence Lane for manufacturing methamphetamine. 

In California a man was charged with murder for the shooting deaths of two security guards.  The man allegedly shot the two security guards at an apartment complex where the guards were working.  The security officers were killed in 2009.

September 12, 2011:  A high school band bus was burgarlized on Friday in Rutherford County.  Students ipods, cell phones and other personal items.  The cameras on the bus were not working because the bus was not running.  The bus drivers were at the game.

September 8, 2011:  Handgun carry permit class tonight at Cash on The Spot.  This allows citizens who pass the class to apply to the State of Tennessee for their Handgun Carry Permit.  After a background check and fingerprinting a concealed carry permit may be issued by the state.  The individual is allowed to carry a concealed weapon on their person as long as it is not prohibited  at that locations.  Prohibited locations include schools, some parks and court houses as wells as other locations.

September 7, 2011:  Police are looking for a suspect for robbing the US Bank inside Kroger's on Murfreesboro Road.  The robber handed the teller a note telling her he had a gun though no gun was seen.  At this time there are no leads.

September 3, 2011: Police charged 11 students with truancy yesterday in a truancy sweep in conjunction with the Juvenile Courts.  These students were caught for attempting to leave school during school hours.  Two adults were also charged.

September 2, 2011:  Police are looking for a convicted felon Christophe Bridges in shooting on Brick Church Pike that left two other convicted felons dead.  He did received a gunshot wound to the arm.
